Using English outside the classroom
1-How many hours do you spend in the classroom each week?
2-About how much on that time do you spend speaking English?
3-How much time do you spend doing homework?
4-Do you have any chances to speak English outside the class
(at work,for example)?
5-What percentage of your week do you think you spend using
English?
6-Which of the following areas of English do you feel are
the most difficult for you: pronunciation,grammar,reading,listening,speaking,
ou vocabulary?
Thinking on that, we´ll give some ideas to help your
English.
1-Listen to English radio.You can find some stations on the
internet.It is good for listening skills and for helping you notice
pronunciation.
2-You can listen to English music any time-on the radio or
your own CDs.It is good to develop your vocabulary and consolidating your
grammar.Get copies of the lyrics if possible-you can download these from the
web.
3-Read English books,magazines, or newspapers-you can buy some of them or do this in your school or college library.It
helps you to develop your reading skills and increase your vocabulary, for
example.
4-Get an e-pal and send e-mails in English.You can
correspond with someone in your country or outside.Communicating in English
will help your writing and reading skills and hopefully,will be fun.
5-Watch English movies.They can be good to learn about
culture,tourism and also develop your listening skils.
6-Nowadays you have facebook,skype,viber,what´s app and hundreds of apps and websites that you
can practice so don´t miss the opportunity to spend some time playing educational games on line or
chatting with people from abroad. It helps a lot to develop your listening,
reading and speaking skills and also vocabulary.
At last, don´t miss your English classes and keep studying hard for the tests.
