Students make videos and other materials to express their feelings ;-)

Hello students!

Everybody knows that lot of activies are developed by the students during the semester. All classes have to read and present the readers and sometimes other works teachers usually ask. Those presentations are quite useful and very important for practicing some skills. Students tend to get more and more confident, motivated and better speakers on the language process as they have contact with the language in so many ways.

Some students from semester H6 were asked to research and create something about a subject they liked. Then they had to present that in a way they felt confortable with. After the presentations the students would give their opinions about the colleague´s work and then elaborate a reflexion about each theme. I bring some of those works so you can watch, see and perhaps also think about doing that someday. Being in touch with something they were used to  was the main purpose.

Yasmim Medeiros made a video about her family. A very nice video full of love and affection.

Lívia Pinheiro made a video about her favorite band : 5 seconds of summer. You can see on the video how much she knows and loves this band ;-) It was nice to watch that because the students could hear about an Australian por rock band. People and students are very used to watch or listen to the Americans ones.

Natália Vidal talked about the belly dancing. It was really nice from her to talk about something from the Middle East. It shows that our students have different tastes and it must be respected.

Natália  Matos had the idea of talking about the different types of music. She said she really likes listening to music and would like to talk about the diversity we can find in our country and abroad, as well.

I´m really proud of my students. All the students, of all semesters are able to produce something like this and add their work here in the blog. If you got interested in, please contact me any time soon and I´ll show your work here.

Take care!

Luzirene Barros
