Do you like
cooking? Are you a good cook?
Once again
we decided to talk about this wonderful and magical art. Some English and Spanish classes and also LIBRAS
had those “delicious” moments in the past months. This year we had some classes
about recipes in 8th semester and the
students did a wonderful work with their teachers’ help. Some teachers also had a recipe morning with he help of teacher Yuri. It was a nice moment together ;-)
There is
always so much to learn about food. From the vocabulary of the ingredients, the
preparation of the that to the BIG day. Many interesting classes with nice and
funny moments occurred and every student could learn about some foreign and
also Brazilian dishes.
Take a look at this nice video produced by a student from 8th semester.

Now you can see some pictures from the cooking classses:
‘Comunica’ also had its cooking moments. With the theme Africa, many English, Spanish and LIBRAS’ students worked hard to show a little about the African food and its influence in Brazilian cuisine. The students prepared and presented some dishes and it was a very good work and way of learning more about other cultures.
As you can see, there´s a lot to learn from the cooking area. Don´t miss the opportunity to participate when having these classes and also during Comunica. You can become a 'Chef' ! ;-)

Further information about food:
Cooking or
cookery is the art of preparing food for consumption with the use of heat.
Cooking techniques and ingredients vary widely across the world, reflecting
unique environmental, economic, and cultural traditions and trends. The way
that cooking takes place also depends on the skill and type of training an
individual cook has.
Most
ingredients in cooking are derived from living organisms. Vegetables, fruits,
grains and nuts as well as herbs and spices come from plants, while meat, eggs,
and dairy products come from animals. Mushrooms and the yeast used in baking
are kinds of fungi. Cooks also use water and minerals such as salt.
