Milk Shake X Smoothie

Have you ever drunk a smoothie? Do you like drinking milk shake? Humm, I love it a lot. We live in a very hot place so we must refresh our body constantly, don’t we?
The term milk-shake was first used in print in 1885. At that time, it was an alcoholic drink, a mix with whiskey, eggs and milk served as a tonic as well as a treat. They were a hand-shaken mixture of crushed ice and milk, sugar, and flavorings. By the 1930’s they changed so much and became very popular with students in a meeting place or hangout. The origin of smoothies is Brazilian. Californian health food stores tried to imitate our “vitamina” in their places and started to make different sorts of juice. The first trademark is dated from the mid-70’s in New Jersey. Smoothies from the 1960s and early 1970s were "basically fruit, fruit juice, and ice"; some time after, ice milk was also blended in to create the "fruit shake".
The main difference between smoothies and milk shakes is that fruit is the principal ingredient of the smoothie and ice cream is the primary ingredient of the milkshake.
